Flying Saucers
Alarm Arts and its founder Anya Mokhova made a collaboration with CHAPURIN come into fruition during the autumn-winter 2019/20 that presented in April 2019 on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Moscow, Russia. My artwork ‘Congress Gathering at Species Bank on Northern Mars’ made the cut. Funny thing is, I never seen the contractual % from sales, nor have I seen or held the promised T-shirt.
I tell you this folks, even if you signed - it don’t mean nothing. Experience shows not all projects end the same. People you work with have to keep their end of the bargain. Often for my brand, for example, I ve sent out clothes for an editorial shoot, never to see the images. This is not to blame anyone. Chapurin got the young Saint Martins grads and we got the press. All good. Piece of advice, get a fortune teller or prepare to lower your expectations on your way to success and one day someone might just meet them.
I m super grateful to Anya and Chapurin for making this possible, it turned out pretty cool. Why I never used my art in my fashion label? I just wish all agreements were honored.
