Meditator since 2014, certified Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Practitioner, certified Atma Kriya Yogini, certified Foundation for Shamanic Studies shaman, Trance Coach, Psychic Medium graduate of Arthur Finley College in London as well as Certified Alchemist of Plants, Planets and Metals courses at Titra Usada, Bali. Filipovscaia is 3rd generational card reader. In last 15 years she has traveled to 7 Sacred Sights around the world and has been born in Siberia from where the word shaman originates.
Her shamanic readings have been developed as a mixture of her heritage and mixed media art practice.
2022 saw the first 12 self-published “Hindu Gods’ tarot decks that are currently selling across all Alchemy shops and yoga centres in Bali, Indonesia. The deck is based on 77 vintage Hindu prints rescued from a closing down spiritual store in London.

Nature and Metaphysics have been a constant source of inspiration for Iulia’s multidisciplinary practice. She is cross-pollinating themes of shamanism, environmentalism, rituals of wellbeing and consciousness. Her prime focus is exercising an alchemical purification on all levels through any medium that reveals itself readily available to emerge intuitively. As a true alchemist she firmly believes that all things share a common purpose - the desire or need to evolve into a highest state of Being.
Iulia often works with recycled, found and natural materials in her mixed media practice that takes shape into installation, sculpture, adornments. Practices of herbalism, collecting, weaving, collage and performance are dominant.
Iulia has been one of the resident artists at The Koppel Projects Hive studios in London that were selected for a gallery residency in August 2018. Work produced during the residence was shown at exhibition following the residency. Iulia's proposal was accepted for an exhibition curated by the Koppel gallery's director into a 4 women 1 year show titled 'Forging the Self'. Watch an interview at the gallery here.
Her photographic work was shortlisted for Salon Photo Prize 2011, Matt Robert's Arts, sold at Photo London, presented at The Photographers Gallery for Folio Forum (2010) and at Members Photo Forum, Photofusion (2010), when Filipovscaia photographic performance at Zabludowicz Collection for Testing Ground: Live (2009) was developed into a follow up exhibition at Apiary Studios sponsored by Hasselblad.
In August 2024 Iulia has attended the Archival Bootcamp by Trabajo Práctico in Valencia, Spain, in 2021 an art residency at Air Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. In 2019 Iulia has been awarded The Denis Diderot Grant towards an art residence at Chateau d’Orquevaux, France that culminated with a performance and a sight specific installation woven out of recycled materials in the forest on chateau’s grounds. Several of her works became part of chateau’s permanent collection.
Iulia holds a B.A. in Fine Arts from Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design(2007), and a M.A. in Image and Communication from Goldsmiths, University of London (2009).
Iulia has previously worked for White Cube, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, British Museum, Hayward Gallery, Barbican Centre and has been a Personal Assistant to a HNW contemporary art collector.

In 2022-23 Iulia ran a gallery/concept store/mediation spot Source Bali in Uluwatu, Bali.
Iulia has previously worked for White Cube, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, British Museum, Hayward Gallery, Barbican Centre and has been a Personal Assistant to a HNW contemporary art collector.
Between 2011-15 Iulia ran COUP, an ongoing series of pop-up contemporary art exhibitions (group and solo) in alternative spaces like collectors homes. The last (8th) show was an Open Call submission with Joseph Backstein, Artistic Director of the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art and Director of the Moscow Institute for Contemporary Art, as one of the panelist.
Iulia is currently designing shamanic accessories and one of a kind items from handwoven naturally dyed garments under Voice of Source.
In 2013 together with her mother Iulia launched LANA SIBERIE, a conscious and sustainable fashion brand, with private clients such as supermodel Natalia Vodianova and her charity, Naked Heart Foundation. LS has presented at Paris, London and Copenhagen Fashion Weeks and is a receiver of TAP - UKTI grant. LS garments have been featured and published in L’Officiel Germany and The Lissome with Tim Burton's actress Lauren McCrostie as well as on the cover of The Forumist. The brand participated in multiple popups and have been stocked in Stocked in Tokyo, London and Amsterdam. In 2016 Iulia was awarded ABC Level 1 Award in Fashion and Textiles (Sewing and Textiles), London, UK

Iulia has worked as a stand in for Paris Hilton, a double for Jodie Comer (Killing Eve) and has took part in films Imitation Game, Spectre, Wonder Woman (both), Ready Player One, Death of Stalin, Goodbye Christopher Robin, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, A Private War, Detective Pikachu, His Dark Materials, Cruella, The Last Vermeer and many other commercials, series and tv across 10 years. In 2018 she completed The Reel Scene, 6 Days Intense Acting Training with Industry Professionals - Diploma
She is currently living between London and Bali.
