How to Cultivate Balanced Vibrations
In my previous article I talked about the importance of raising awareness around your vibration, today let’s see what one can do next. After you’ve cradled or created space for any emotions or feelings that needed healing and attained a vibration of love, it is vital to maintain it.
Few times I was asked this question. How do I strengthen my state? How do I find a stable place? These were same questions I’ve asked too. I am not going to say it is easy, just like anything it is a practice. A life long practice. One that is hard to begin, maybe even easy to begin but hard to continually sustain.
Let's be 100% transparent. Life will always be life with it's duality of good and bad. It is not against you or pro you. Life just is. Unstable, ever-changing, disappointing or fantastic and absolutely unbelievable even phenomenal. Can you see the 2 ends of the stick in one sentence? This is it. We are not here to change it, that is outside of our influence. The one and only thing that can be done is changing how one relates, reacts or does not to it.
You are the element where this alchemical reaction beyond duality is talking place. You are the Mercury. The third.
Think about this for a minute or two…
It is easy to ”get hooked to” good or bad, but with cultivation of your own balance, you are essentially learning to choose peace, harmony consciously. You know it is a good thing because :
You will feel good after choosing you
You feel good after stretching
You will feel good after dancing
You will feel good after meditating
You will feel good after walking in nature
You will feel good after doing what you love ( writing, drawing, sculpting…)
Steps one needs to take is to attend or cultivate this good balanced feeling inside. Let’s 👀 at different ways of bringing that into fruition and enjoying the self continuously.
Best and most profound way is to tend to yourself by loving your body and soul. Here S.Mcnutt’s quote comes to mind found somewhere on the outskirts of a digital image share: ‘Fall in love with taking care of yourself. Fall in love with the path of deep healing. Fall in love with becoming the best version of yourself but with patience, with compassion and respect to your own journey.’
I could list so many different ways one could feed his or her inner self, but all of them in one way or another are related to creating a connection to the body (it’s intelligence) in relation to the elements (water, air…).
Here it is important to add that it is assumed that you have done the inner work of having accepted yourself inside and outside the way you are. Loving yourself whole no doubt is yet another one of the processes that requires constant deepening via acceptance, appreciation and love. Some essential work with the shadow self is implied, otherwise expect things around this subject to be revealed, become apparent or surface.
Body and Water 💧 element : taking a bath, shower, swim, surf…
Connecting your body to the element of water is calming and soothing. This is why we feel a low more relaxed in cities next to a reservoir of Water. Liquid substance of it, smoothes any sharp edges. We feel rejuvenated after a holiday on a beach, alps or forest lakes.
Body and Fire 🔥: sun gazing/tanning, dancing, yoga, drumming… any practice that heats up your temple
Fire can be just as healing as it eliminates toxins that are forced out of your body by the way of energetic movement or heated environment.
Body and Air 🌬: sounds nd music, singing, breath-work, meditation, chi-gong …
Following the breath is very beneficial for rebalancing. It helps one refocus their attention away from the mind and overpowering thoughts.Body and Earth 🌰: enjoying of Earth gifts, connecting with animals 🐆 , plants 🌱 and trees 🌲
Earth element is good for anchoring ourselves in the here and now on the planet, in the moment of now. Plants, trees and animals bring a lot of joy in their unconditional love and aliveness that they share with us that is called life.
Within the above mentioned practices there is also a yin (feminine) and yang (masculine) way to go about these very different practices, meaning doing breath work for example in strong, rapid movements will be a fiery or yang way of using an air based practice and so on.
There are no right or wrong ways, but optional approaches. Perhaps, one can alternate or experiment with noticing what approach you take depending on your mood or energies on the day, since we have both inside of us.
